The least well-kept secret is now official. After months of speculation it has been revealed that Maison Schiaparelli has locked down former Rochas creative director, Marco Zanini, to head the label. Of course many would argue that they saw this coming on Friday when Rochas announced that he would be leaving the brand to be replaced by Alessandro Dell'Acqua. Zanini will work on both ready to wear as well as couture, with his first collection set to debut during Paris Couture Week in January. Zanini also spoke about the Schiaparelli name and legacy,“My mission is to make the name of Schiaparelli resound in both the present and the future...The emotional link to this project is very strong for me and reflective of my admiration for the intelligent and innovative personality of Elsa Schiaparelli."
