rochas x paris fashion week

"Nobody comes to Paris to see another white cotton shirt," said creative director, Marco Zanini, before was is being speculated as his last Rochas show before heading to Schiaparelli. It was all about fabric at Zanini's spring showcase; hand-painted organza, chartreuse fiber, jacquard velvet bonded to duchesse dazzled with some Swarovski crystals. It really all looked like a dream, the inspiration coming from Tennessee Williams' play The Glass Menagerie; "translucent qualities of glass, frost, and crystals." As far as fashion-forward goes, it's spot on. However, the practicality of those mop-like slippers say otherwise. Now there's some #wtffashion for you.
