I've blogged a handful of times about my newly found sneaker obsession, but I'm not entirely sure if this new collaboration with
Rick Owens and
Adidas is adding fuel to the fire, or stomping it out completely. Sneakers have found their way out of the gym and onto the streets (not to mention the runway, too), so adding an element of fashion only seems natural - but this? If you know anything about the aesthetic of designer Rick Owens, then these architectural trainers will come as no surprise, but to the layman, the exaggerated sneakers may not be worth the hefty price tag. I'll mull over the thought of space-sneakers for a while, for now, you be the judge.
